Legal Basis
Under provisions of the article 19 of the Constitution of the Union of Comoros of 23rd December 2001, the Assembly of the Government of the Comoros Islands voted in the Economic Citizenship program most recently amended in 2008. The last significant amendments to the citizenship by investment scheme were made in 2013. Citizenship is granted solely by decree of the President of the Republic.
